Questions? Contact us at hi@trynothing.app.
1. The app
Nothing is a calm, single-purpose iOS app that helps you pause and do nothing. It provides a timer for intentional "nothing" sessions, optional app-blocking built on Apple's Screen Time framework, and a personal history of your sessions kept on your device.
2. Not medical or health advice
Nothing is a general wellbeing and focus tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional care. If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, please consult a qualified professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Nothing. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nothing for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, sell, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Some features of Nothing require a paid subscription.
- Billing through Apple. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Prices. Prices and plans may change. Changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Nothing only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, or use it in a way that could harm us or other users.
7. Your content and data
Your session history, settings, and preferences are stored on your device. You are responsible for your device and for any data stored on it. How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Nothing, including its name, design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Anton Lev and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
9. Third-party services
Nothing relies on third-party services (including Apple, PostHog, Sentry, and RevenueCat) to operate. Your use of the app may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Nothing is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anton Lev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using Nothing at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
15. Apple App Store — additional terms
These Terms are between you and Anton Lev only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
